Abstract

Description

Way Back Wednesday: In honor and celebration of Veterans throughout the nation, we also salute graduates of our own Naval Reserves Officers Training Corps. “On March 10, 1971, the Board of Regents authorized President Jackson to execute a contract to establish an NROTC unit at Savannah state College, effective immediately. This unit actually opened in October, 1971, with forty-one midshipmen, as the third NROTC unit in a traditional black college” Photograph: Dr. Prince A.
