Description

During his tenure the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia granted the school university status (1996) and the institution was renamed Savannah State University (1996). Dr. John T Wolfe Jr served as president of Savannah State College from 1993 until 1997 The University System of Georgia ( USG) is the Organizational body that includes 35 public institutions of higher learning in Georgia. Savannah State University is a four-year state-supported historically black university (HBCU located in Savannah, Georgia.
