Description
Dr. Benjamin F. Hubert served as the third president of Georgia State Industrial College from 1926 until 1947. The colleges name was changed to Georgia State College in 1932. Under Hubert’s administration, the entire academic program was organized. The high school and normal departments were discontinued and the school became a four-year college. After the University System was placed under the Board of Regents in 1931, the College began offering baccalaureate programs with majors in English, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Agriculture, and Home Economics.
