dc.description | Dr. William Gardner was the ninth president of Savannah State College. He served as president from 1989 until 1991.
During the presidency of Dr. William Gardner the college saw an unprecedented enrollment growth of 13 percent. He led the college successfully to SACS (Southern Associations of Colleges and Schools) He also developed a plan to reestablish a teacher certification program at the college. | en |
